09:59 pm - Results I got my results back from the alcatraz swim. I probably could have hung around after wards and seen then, but it was sort of hectic and I was really cold. In my division (women swimming without wetsuits) I got 9th place with a time of 0:57:29.8. I definitely wasn't doing this to compete, but it's still pretty cool. 09:30 pm - Found I spent most of the day taking random buses around Portland until I became very lost. That actually didn't take that long. I'd had to buy a bus pass for my PSU class which starts on Monday so I figured I might as well get my money's worth. It was kind of fun. Until I was lost in NE residential areas, that was kind of boring. And then my mp3 player ran out of batteries and I was even more sad. I took a lot of random pictures, though. I also have my first random craigslist photography job this weekend. Nothing too exciting, taking pictures of little children at this Thomas the Tank Engine railroad thing. My brother was very into thomas from when he was like 2 or so. At some point he was thomas the tank engine for halloween and in some bizare coincidence there was another little boy named Tristan with the same costume. It all ended when in the movie there was an evil train and he was too terrified to ever watch it again Whatever, I'm getting paid to take pictures. Speaking of which, if any of you Portland people want to let me take a nice portrait of you so I can use them in my portfolio I would love you forever (and you could have a pretty picture of yourself). 09:19 pm - Suicidal Penguins My brother seems to be getting kicked out of the band because he missed practice today. I think he's going to go start a new band. Maybe they can have some sort of battle of the bands against each other. Of course it would probably be battle of the "Louie, Louie" since that's the only song any of them can play.
